Japanese Face Brush
Established in 1914 in Tokyo’s Asakusa district, Kanaya Brush has built a reputation as an expert in the field of brush making. Applying traditional techniques, skilled artisans cut each strand of natural hair to craft perfectly contoured brush tips.
For their face brushes, Kanaya’s craftsmen carefully pick and blend horse hair to create a soft to medium firmness. These horse hair brushes provide moderate stimulation and wash away pore-clogging dirt without irritating the skin, a characteristic unique to natural horse hair. Horse hair has finer ends which are softer to the touch, making it suitable for even dry or sensitive skin.
The handle is made from Kiso Hinoki wood, which has water resistant properties.
Body-friendly natural materials are always best for reviving skin’s natural beauty. These brushes can be used daily, dry or wet, just brush gently on the face to improve circulation and help exfoliate dead skin cells.
Gentle scrubbing is enough for deep cleansing and a skin massage.
Keep the brush dry between uses in a non-humid environment. Avoid letting it dry out under the sun as this could cause cracking of the wood.
